In a landscape of forest, heather and grassland, the village of Hooghalen is situated in the province Drenthe in the north of the Netherlands. Hooghalen is a part of the municipality Midden-Drenthe. The village has about 1445 citizens.
It's a perfect place to spent your summer holiday. Hooghalen is surrounded by protected nature area's and is therefore a perfect location for walking, cycling or horse riding. If you like, you can use the special tracks for it. Because of the central place in the province, you can make trips to different places in the surroundings.
